Very good

Just very disappointing

Liked: The main building and grounds
Disliked: The mews, no tv remote, no hot water, room was dusty, dead flys in the only light fitting and lighting poor

Superb

Good

Liked: Beautiful surroundings. Excellent breakfast.
Disliked: Our superior room was only what we would call a standard room. No bedside lamps either.

It's an event location not...

Liked: The food was nice and the accommodation was clean. The staff were very nice, Freya from reception gets a mention for her professional and efficient service.
Disliked: We were very disappointed that the property does not present as it is marketed, this is a little confusing as it is a pretty nice place... I would suggest as an event location it would be spectacular but if you're not there for an event I can't see a reason to be there. The accommodation is largely outside of the main building and very small, basic and chain-like and is a very very very long walk from the bar or restaurant. The leisure facilities are minimal and the pool seems to be closed to residents during the afternoon for lessons.

Liked: Scenary
Disliked: The breakfast was poor as there was no seating arrangement, it was free for all. Staff were not good at replacing finished food, plates or cups. There needs to be a better way of sign posting the bar or places to spend time as a family as it is a very big area. No lounge area at all.

Weekend at Amersham

Liked: Setting is georgious, the selection of food at breakfast great.
Disliked: Room was stuffy with the windows open and a fan on, it was a warm humid evening it needed the windows to be able to open further than was allowed or AC.

Superb

Liked: Really beautiful place, a very wide choice of breakfast and a really nice staff.
Disliked: The only thing I did not like is that got to the place quite late and assumed there will be a mini fridge in the room. Unfortunately there wasn't any, the bar was closed so ended up without water.
