Very very run down, dirty,...

Disliked: Rooms very run down, dirty and smelly. Stains on the walls, rotten and stained area all around the room, broken bath panel, dirty bath panel, pungent rotting smell in the room. Furniture dated and worn out. Door looked like it had been forced open. Radiator hanging off the wall. Lift out of order. We asked reception to move to better room and were told 'we probably had the best room available, they know the hotel is run down but can't say this on their website'. We declined to stay and the hotel willingly refunded all three rooms. Got the impression this was a regular occurrence for the hotel.

Disliked: The bedroom was clean & acceptable, however may be a little dated

Liked: Location, also it had free parking, breakfast was good bed large and very comfy and the staff very friendly
Disliked: Rooms are a bit dated but OK for a couple of nights, surprisingly quiet for a bank holiday weekend, and the hotel was full
