Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Vancouver

Maids knocked on our door at like 9a.m. We didn't have the 'do not disturb' thing on the door but figured they wouldn't even try unless the people actually checked out. They knocked and I said "yes" but they still tried to open the door. Just seemed kinda early and pushy. People do sleep in past 9. Haha! Our key cards never really worked. Went back twice to get new ones and the third time only one card worked and that is only after trying it several times in the door :/ Would be nice if you had the guest binder in the room that had the local restaurants and such if you are not from the area.

Liked: Good location; easy check in.
Disliked: Maid service; key cards.

Liked: Falling apart. There is no hot water in the shower until it runs for 20 minutes. Pool and hot tub not working. There was no prior warning that it was unavailable to use. Beds horrible. Not clean. Breakfast was cereal, English muffins, bagels, oatmeal. No fruit, yogurt, or protein options.

Disliked: Druggies all over the lobby. No front desk worker. Waited for an employee to show up for over an hour. Random men behind the counter that said they didn't work there. Little children sleeping in the lobby unattended. Filthy ,broken down, establishment

Overall, the stay was good....

Liked: We had a king size bed - it was way too firm for us. There was much construction going on and wall hangings and fixtures were still in the room when we arrived. Did not utilize breakfast other than coffee bar.
Disliked: Despite all the contruction and seemingly not very knowledgeable staff at front desk - key code wouldn't work (found out later it was incorrectly given). It was a nice place to sleep. We didn't plan on spending the majority of our time in the room.
