Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cedar Rapids

Disliked: The air conditioning quit working around midnight and we were offered a fan for our inconvenience. The free breakfast was also a big disappointment. Not impressed with this Days Inn at all.

Disliked: Handicap bathroom was rather scary- a handheld shower was totally missing- towel bar by sink and toilet paper holder were loose. Breakfast was non-impressive. Ice machine on our floor (2) was out of order.

Liked: Bonnie at the front desk is exceptional. She is very friendly, patient, kind and knowledgeable. I am disabled and she went beyond expectations from the first booking phone call through checkout to assure my needs and comfort were met. She was always smiling and happy. The room was clean and inviting and the total room darkening window shade as well as the quiet atmosphere were both inducements to deep, restful sleep. Being able to plug in my cell phone charger on the bedside table lamp base was a real plus as well as having decaf coffee in the room.
Disliked: The breakfast area is very nice. There are windows to let in light. It was nice to have selections of cereal, yogurt, muffins, juice, milk, coffee with flavored creamer and fruit. The best part is the waffle maker although my suggestion is that someone should check if the iron is hot enough. The waffle seemed to come out of the machine a little undercooked.
