Room was clean, but breakfast in the morning - nice touch! Next time we are in the region, we know where to stay - Days Inn - Merced!

Disliked: Nothing.

Exceptional

Liked: Staff. I asked if it could be possible to move to another room (the initial one, by the side of the highway, was very noisy due to the loud traffic).The lady checked the availability and said I could move that same night, or the next morning, without any problem. I did move, and the new room was much more comfortable and without noise.

Not good!

Liked: The breakfast was fairly good, coffee was good, packaged oatmeal was good and eating area was clean The receptionist at check in was excellent, she listened to my concerns about safety and gave a room where our car was easily accessible from the room.
Disliked: The hotel was misrepresented on the website, it looked much nicer on line than in reality. The rooms were dirty, bed sheets stained. THERE WAS NO HOT WATER!! We were unable to take a shower in the morning and the water in the sink never warmed up either! It was not a good experience and very disappointing!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS FACILITY

Disliked: When arrived at the motel there was a lot of homeless activity around the motel. One man was pulling a wagon and then he stopped and was kicking it. Another was carrying a long stick and was shooting into the sky. A lady was waling around from person to person asking for money. There were several others in the immediate area. There was a food truck in the motel parking lot with a loud generator running. When I asked for an early sign in at 1 I was told there was nothing available until 3. I returned at 1:30 to cancel room due to the homeless population and the front desk was then checking in other guests. Thankfully there was not a room available at the earlier time. I guess you choose not to disclose the homeless in neighborhood but this place really needs to get better security and clean up the place.

Liked: I disliked that they don’t disclose when checking in that they require a $200 CASH ONLY deposit with no ATM in the actual hotel. Then they keep the deposit until they CHECK your room the day you’re checking out. I was scammed from $145 after the Big lady with glasses checked my room and said she could only return 55 of the deposit because of stains which she never disclosed could be something they charged for.

Disliked: Over charged for more days than I stayed. % extra days of room charge with no refund! Rippoff!!!!!!!

Just book somewhere else

Liked: The receptionist on the evening of our arrival was lovely. Her colleagues on the other day were plain rude. I informed the property days in advance that I am gluten free and asked if they were able to provide something gluten free at breakfast for me. On arrival in the morning I was told that I never informed them. When I asked them to check my account they found that message- they had not bothered to check it in the first place. They told me that my message was irrelevant because not a single item on the breakfast menu would be gluten free anyway. I explained the relevance of a reply from them informing me about this would have been that I would have cancelled the booking and booked a different hotel, would I have been informed in time. I asked if they could refund me partially because I had to go and pay for breakfast somewhere else. The manager said that the breakfast is for free, not included in the hotel price and therefore not catered to anyone. We had to go and pay for breakfast for us two- money that I could have spent on a better hotel with breakfast that I can actually eat. I have not experienced such treatment ever in any hotel.
Disliked: The shower had only cold water even after running it for 10 minutes. So we had to shower under cold water. The plug sockets didn’t work, so I couldn’t dry my hair and had to walk around with wet hair in strong wind which led to me being ill in the evening. We were told on arrival not to leave the hotel because the area was dangerous. This was the worst hotel we ever stayed at
