Liked: Location is beautiful, friendly, helpful staff. Very clean. A bit tired could do with an update. However, it served the purpose. All round good. Certainly stay again.
Disliked: Room a bit tired, needs a freshen up. But perfectly clean and did the job.

I would be happy to...
Liked: The room was comfortable and as expected. The Annandale Water is a bonus with a pleasant lake and lakeside walks.
Disliked: Food is only available from the standard motorway services and is of a poor standard. The breakfast from the 'Breakfast Kitchen' was poor value for money and not what we hoped for when we ordered.

Day of the Triffids
Liked: Staff were lovely
Disliked: The room was tired with the interior door handle missing and the security chain had been broken off so unable to securely lock the door.On two nights different guests had dogs which either barked or howled the majority of the night, leading to little sleep. All well and good being pet friendly, but the owners should have consideration for others.For the price it was basic, but functional and as an overnight stop would suffice.Paid extra for a room with a view of the lake, but this was only possible if you craned your neck round the edge of the balcony due to the view straight ahead being like a scene from the "Day of the Triffids"
