Disappointing and disgusting behaviour from...

Liked: It was in a really good location.
Disliked: When we arrived we were informed that the bar would not be open due to 4 floors of the hotel being used as an asylum hotel.At 5am on the Saturday morning we were woken up by a fire alarm that kept going off for 5 seconds at a time every minute.We tried to find a member of staff to discuss this with and see if we needed to evacuate even though there had been no continuous alarm. At this point we found out that the fire exits were blocked with people sitting on the stairs. We could not find a single member of staff to ask what was going on and at 5:30 we left the hotel due to the lack of communication and also due to the fact that the floor which we were on (5) was filling with smoke.We finally got back into the hotel at 9am and at this point we tried to get a shower.The rooms were freezing cold and the showers were running freezing cold.I rang the reception and was told that there was an issue on the boiler and they had no idea how long it would be until it was fixed.We left the hotel at 1pm at which point the boiler had still not been fixed.The lack of communication from the staff at the hotel was disgusting and unsafe.We were actually informed by a fireman when we left the hotel that due to the fire being electrical they could not put this out until we had been evacuated from the hotel.The staff had not done this and the only reason we had left was due to our own common sense.

Liked: Hotel was centrally located, staff were friendly and the room was clean also included an iron, board and hairdryer
Disliked: Very noisy children running up and down the corridor early morning, this is the reason for a lower review score, it wasn't a few min, it was hours of constant racing up and down the corridor Chargeable early check-in, rooms are not cheap, so an extra 20 pounds if the room is ready anyway is un necessary No advertised discounted parking, asked and said it is if u book online, I would have done this had I known, was 24 pounds at Q Park for 24 hours

Liked: Great location. Staff were good.
Disliked: Very expensive for what we had. Room not serviced at all - only every 3 days apparently. Carpets in hallways needed cleaning. Grubby at front entrance.Not inviting at all.Lighting in room poor.

Disliked: Place was full of police in and out the day we arrived, wondered what we had come to. Also, parking was a bit strange, parking behind hotel, which you pay for, but very difficult to find
