Convenient location for travelling on...

Liked: Convenient location for travelling on the A1.Although on the same site as the motorway services the hotel is remarkably quiet - though we did have a room overlooking the back of the building.Facilities are good value for money but rather basic. The room was clean and tidy with a good sized shower. Staff are friendly and helpful.We didn't book breakfast as we knew that it would be only a takeaway affair and there are a variety of catering facilities in the adjacent services. This is also very convenient when arriving late in the evening and needing somewhere to eat.
Disliked: Decor generally very tired and more routine maintenance needed - but this is probably reflected in the price.
