Days Inn by Wyndham St. Petersburg / Tampa Bay Area

The sheets were dirty so I slept on top of the bed covers. Thank God I always bring a little throw blanket. There were police everywhere outside when I woke up! The man at the front desk said someone had died and they were investigating. Not my choice of hotel the next time I visit St. Pete! The staff was very nice, but geez!

Liked: The front desk ladies were very friendly when I checked-in and the woman who was attending the breakfast was very apologetic and was trying to get stuff out as fast as she could. Coffee was being made and I think she was supposed to be off-duty already. She actually went and filled my coffee cup back in the kitchen while it was still making! Her name was Andrea and deserves a raise!
Disliked: The sheets were not changed on the bed and were dirty. The breakfast was literally non-existent! I came down at 9am and there was no coffee made, no food except for some oranges, and a lot of hungry looking people sitting around.

Planned to check in at 12:30pm and pay the extra $20 for early check in. I asked for a bottom level room. Front desk clerk said it wouldn't be available till 3pm. He told me if I came back then he'd make sure I got one. I came back at 3 and there were about 15 people waiting. He'd given one a room someone was in already. Had to change that. Lots of them had used Booking.com but their confirmation wasn't sent over. Had to wait for that. When it was my turn he said there were no bottom floor rooms available! I reminded him what he promised - he didn't care. Called for a blanket at 9:40 pm. Clerk said he couldn't give me it till 11pm. Got it at 11:30ish. AC didn't work good. If you weren't right beside it you were HOT - miserable night! Pool was supposed to close at 10pm but people were out there till after midnight. No carpet in rooms made it gross. Sandy! I will not stay here again!

Liked: I like that they are remodeling the rooms and the bed are comfortable.
Disliked: The rooms need to be sprayed for roaches really bad

Disliked: A/c worked poorly, wouldnt cool more than just in front of it, the pool is gross, outside stinks like pot, no cable, the bed was very bouncy.

Disliked: No breakfast as it mentioned.

Days in at 5005A 34th...

Liked: I stay in a lot of hotels and this place was simply AMAZING. Within walking distance to restaurants, a mall less than a 7 min drive away, convenience stores fast food, a lovely pool with quick access back to the interstate. All the comforts of a Marriot or Hilton yet at a very affordable rate. The staff ( Erica ) If I remember correctly was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place to anyone ❤️
