Days Inn by Wyndham Shorter

I know that the hurricane just hit and every one was staying in hotels, but this was the only hotel affordable near Monster Mountain for the weekend. Got there, got to our rooms - nasty, nasty, nasty, with hairs in the beds and stains. Looked like it had not been cleaned in a week, with crap all on the carpets and dust everywhere. The tub had so much mold in it you could smell it; falling apart. I will never stay at a Days Inn again!

Worst service and false advertisement...

Disliked: The fact is what I booked and what I got was two different things. I was suppose to have a room with washer and dryer that wa clean and sanitary cause I already let them know about my husband's health issues and the service I got was terrible the room had no washer or dryer the air conditioner was making the office noise ever I checked the van which hadn't been cleaned and maybe months I cleaned one of them notified staff which the other one was never cleaned took pictures of it the curtain hanging up was literally was probably hasn't been changed in a year the staff was rude about it when I alerted them to the fact that my husband is already sick they never even come and try to clean the vents fix the air conditioner or anything then check out time is it till 11:00 and I have my mind beating on my door at 10:30 this morning want to know why we weren't out when it will check in time until 11:00 I was in the midst of getting ready and it was absolutely awful I'm sad to say I wasted my money at that place and I would never refer it or go back to it again

Liked: Price. Firm bed. Clean.
Disliked: Man at desk did not understand i needed a spoon to eat oatmeal.

Good short stay at Shorter

Liked: Next to the Loves truck stop and interstate and the room and price were good

Was a good place safer...

Liked: Convenience and it location due to car problems on the highway. Staff very friendly
Disliked: Need a lot updating but it’s under remodel .

Just wish the pictures match...

Liked: People outside the door all night and morning talking loud..we didn’t sleep well
Disliked: Roaches,dirty linen and bed uncomfortable

Exceptional

Very good

Liked: Room was clean and comfortable, we booked a non smoking room but it had been smoked in as I could still smell it through out our stay.
Disliked: I booked this place because it was close to my family that I was visiting but I learned after the check-in that they had filled in the pool and made it a patio with a grill. A pool would have been great.
