Days Inn by Wyndham Santa Monica

Everything fitted our needs very well.

Conveniently located but a bit long in the tooth, as the expression goes. Comfortable bed and good shower. But the room smelled musty, the flooring under the carpet was appallingly uneven and bumpy, and the staff was not especially friendly or helpful. Fee based internet in lobby didn't connect to the web and I couldn't get my money back. Annoying.

Liked: Location and price.
Disliked: Not a place to spend time other than sleeping.

Clean but you pay for...

Liked: Clean.Parking (paid) on site.
Disliked: 1. Parking was an extra $10 per night. Site said it was included. 2. First evening remote for TV didn’t work—though they remedied that quickly.3. But first morning, THE SHOWER DIDN’T WORK! I’ve turn on many showers before, so I was turning and pushing and pulling, though it looked standard. The toilet and the sink both did work.I called the front desk. I needed to get to work. He said he was the only one there (it was just before 7am), so it took awhile for him to come up and see what was going on. He couldn’t get it to work either. So then, he had to go back down and transfer me to another room. I had to gather all my things and move rooms and zip off to work. And had to deal with more paperwork for the room transfer after. Ugh.

Superb

Liked: breakfast was soso.
Disliked: At least toast should be served.

Expensive stay for what you...

Liked: Bed was very comfortable. Room had a mini fridge and microwave.
Disliked: Additional parking fees not disclosed when I booked the room. Only ice maker was on the first floor of the property. There isn’t really a breakfast, snack foods in packages and drinks - not worth calling it breakfast.

Great stay for my family...

Liked: Clean room, nice staff and convenient location.
Disliked: Notes to improve: breakfast is very simple (like self serve snacks type). Room is clean if more furniture will be helpful. The towel is small comparing to most hotels.
