Days Inn by Wyndham Petersburg/South Fort Lee

We had a wonderful stay. Kids loved the pool. Would gladly stay again for our next trip to Petersburg. We found only one place that would deliver pizza to our room and we were charged an extra fee for the location of the motel.

Liked: Staff very friendly; nice pool; clean beds.
Disliked: When we first walked into our room, my 5 year old found a bottle of wine opened under our table. The card key had Domino's Pizza advertised but when I called to place an order they told me they no longer delivered to that location.

Disliked: The room had a very strong smell of bleach, the bathroom door frame was coming off the wall. The mini fridge was unable to open more than a few inches because a tray was under the whole fridge and was in the way. The hot water in the shower was scalding hot and wasn’t able to be adjusted. Stain on bed spread. Towels were dingy.

Disliked: The place is badly run down and poorly kept: old furniture and carpets, litter everywhere, badly stained sheets, refrigerator not working well; front desk staff preoccupied with telephone; curtains sagging/torn in windows. Wyndham should be embarrassed to have its name on this property. Go have a look...

Liked: Location was great but other than that everything else was bad. I had called a few days prior to let the desk know I’d be late checking in as we were leaving NY after school and work Friday evening. When I got there the lady checking us in was very rude. When we got into the rooms two of the three rooms we rented were dirty and the sheets/blankets were stained and filthy. Check out was the best part of the stay. 3 pillows per bed for two queen beds in a room is odd. I’d would assume 4 pillows per bed. Price was what I would expect given the quality. Would not stay again. Would not recommend for travel unless you are going to just cheat on your spouse or traffic narcotics and need a $60 get away.
