Unsatisfied

Liked: It was on the water and the free waterpark passes
Disliked: No housekeeping received, refrigerator broken and left with bed bug bites on my legs

Liked: We did not have breakfast was not told of location or avalibiblity. That would of made our trip brighter dumpster outside our room but obviously you got rid of a lot of mattress. The sticky door the missing screen the 1 room the screen did not close .just needs a face lift of the rooms
Disliked: not being forced to take 2 rooms because of a little trickery saying I need to pay ahead of time or no guarantors I'd even have a room a valuable when I got there we went to a concert in cheboygan .and need a room for a nite sleep but loved macinaw city enough to stay another nite I wanted to get another motel but my guest did not want the hassle of making and moving to another motel it was a very vivid bent location

Excellent location, but power outages...

Liked: The breakfast served in the other hotel was fine. Room is OK except for the power outages. Doesn't look too old. It's in another section in the hotel which may be newer. Because I saw some people complaining that the hotel is too old.Excellent location by the ferry to Mackinaw Island, which I wanted to use.
Disliked: In the evening when I checked in there was a power outage in the room. It took them awhile to fix it. The next morning there was a power outage again.When I checked in, the receptionist didn't tell me where the breakfast will be. It turned out it's in the adjacent hotel and you needed to know the location.

Liked: There was no staff or breakfast on site. The office and pool were closed. A note on the office door said to go two blocks to the Choice Hotel for check-in and check-out. You can pick up the room key there.
Disliked: The office closed, no breakfast, no heated pool.

We did not stay due...

Disliked: The out door lighting on the stairs to get to the room were not working. Once we got to the room it was very cold, heat would not come on no electricity to the unit. the TV didn't work and the alarm clock had no power. call the front desk the maintenance man that was sent was not able to fix the problem and did not communicate any solution with us. after waiting for 20-30 min. we decided to leave as it was after 10pm and we needed to get rest. When I got back to the front desk I was then informed that they had found another room for us, by that time we were so disappointed I declined and we went to a different hotel.

Liked: We didn't eat breakfast. But the staff was amazing, kind and helpful. Thank you for a great stay

A great location with an...

Liked: Breakfast was poor and honestly shouldn't have been advertised as included. They have small, pre packaged muffins available by their coffee machine. That is all that was available for breakfast. The location and view were admittedly stunning, and sunrise over the water from our room's slider door was beautiful!
Disliked: The room was pretty worn and outdated. Corners of the main room and bathroom looked like they needed to be cleaned and were pretty dusty/dirty. The TV was oddly placed between the couch and bed, so it couldn't be seen well from either spot. Overall we were glad we only booked this room to sleep in, and spent our days out and about at other places.
