Passable
Liked: It is easy to drive by the entrance to the motel.
Disliked: I went in at 7:30am and there was 1 yogurt, no breakfast rolls, and 1/2 a cup of coffee left in the coffee pots. Staff didn't keep items stocked as well as they should have.

Very good
Liked: Convenient stop on a long road trip. Nice view of the sunset standing on the walkway outside the room. The feral cats were cute, hanging around outside - they were entertainment for the kids.
Disliked: The motel is surrounded by parking, gas stations, trucks parked, and the freeway... it feels like there was an idea at some point that Lost Hills would grow but it is still just a truck stop, really. We didn't mind - it was all we needed (other than having very limited options for a late dinner). If a traveler is looking for more than a place to sleep, this isn't it.

This motel is a great...
Liked: Clean, well kept up. Bright new bedding.
Disliked: A bit noisy with the freeway but there wasn’t much traffic at night and I was able to sleep. On the other hand the proximity to the freeway made it easy access.

I would NOT stay here...
Liked: HVAC system worked well, room and bedding were clean. Normal amenities available in the room. Staff I interacted with were friendly enough, especially the morning staff when I turned the room key in. I asked for extra pillows, and was provided 1 more.
Disliked: Days Inn located right off the freeway, so expect lots of highway noise. Room was decent, but being employed in the home improvement industry you notice things. Sealant and grout poorly applied around the tub, floor and sink areas. The bathroom door has an ugly color that's been painted over and over again. Toilet was clean, but is brown at the bottom, it's either rust or worn down porcelain. The main entrance door has light coming through all around, so the door is poorly hung, and the weather-stripping is worn, or non existent. So, bugs, noise and light can get in. And, when you sign in they let you know the location is in an agricultural area, so they warn you about the bugs. Poorly built structure, you can hear/feel people walking by your room from the passing vibration. We passed a lot of empty rooms, my wife and I were placed on the second floor, a room or two away from the edge of the building closest to the freeway.
