Was a great location - close to restaurants, shops and attractions.
Liked: The staff; rooms were clean; needs a little upgrading in the pool area; food in the restaurant was good; would recommend to friends.

I was surprised to be...
Liked: The front desk clerk that checked me in and out was very friendly, helpful and patient. The location is convenient to the freeway. It was quiet in the evening.
Disliked: The $9.00 fee to park in a parking lot that in which the lot attached to the hotel was being repaved and a warning memo was given at check-in that your car could be towed. The other option was to park across the street from the hotel with posted signs that said "not responsible for theft of valuables, and still with the $9.00 fee. The facilities need updating in almost every way - only one elevator was operating, the room had peeling paint and smelled like someone had smoked in it although the hotel is listed as a non-smoking facility, the whole 5th floor had a skunk-like odor, all flooring and carpeting needs to be replaced, the keys did not consistently work to open the doors. The fire alarm system is out of date as well and went off numerous times at 10:00 a.m. on the day I was checking out. All hotel occupants (myself included) rushed quickly to the front desk to be told that there was not a fire, but that the system was being tested. I was on the 5th floor so I took the stairs as a safety precaution, but was concerned the whole time that I was in the stairwell, that the hotel had an active fire.
