Liked: The staff were probably the nicest people I've dealt with.
Disliked: Couldn't stay.

Not worth the cheap price or proximity to downtown.
Liked: Close to Ogden Theater.
Disliked: Scary! I was accosted by several unsavory men outside. Heard screaming in the room down the hall. Only one outlet in the whole room worked. Tiny bathroom, broken lamp. Homeless man got stabbed in gas station across the street - sirens!

DO NOT stay here.
Liked: Nothing was good.
Disliked: The staff was unhelpful. The elevator wasn’t working but the staff wouldn’t acknowledge it, they just kept saying that the maids were using it in the basement. A guest was the one that told us that it had been down there all day. And the elevator is literally within view of the front desk so it’s not like they wouldn’t have noticed. The cost did not reflect the accommodations. There was no lobby to speak of, no public restroom available. Wyndham charges you for early check-in but to not have a secure area for luggage and no public restroom is ridiculous. We asked to check our luggage and it was put in the storage closet behind the counter. When we returned the door was open and we could see our luggage from the entrance. It is not a good neighborhood, lots of homeless and as 2 women we did not feel comfortable walking around the area. This meant that we took more Ubers, adding to the cost of the trip. There was also a lot of construction. There were scratching noises from the walls several times. We literally did not feel comfortable showering because we had bad vibes in the room. We loved Denver but the hotel added nothing to it.

Clean, quiet, and safe stay...
Liked: Overall, I appreciate that this hotel was clean, safe, and quiet. It’s in the heart of downtown Denver with great access to the city, including walking distance to most bars, especially within the LGBTQ plus community.
Disliked: The only thing it’s that you have to pay for parking, but that’s because parking is very limited in this part of the city so while I didn’t love that I had to pay for parking, I understand.

Fanexpo visit
Liked: The staff who checked us in and out were friendly
Disliked: Property old and dated, parking sucks, blankets paper thin. Didn't get turndown service.

Bad
Disliked: Walked in the lobby to check in and there was a fight going on between the person at the front desk and a customer over events from the previous evening. They were threatening each other. I left without checking in because I did not feel safe in that location. Seemed less like a hotel for a downtown convention and more like a shelter. Called to cancel my reservation and was still charged for one nights stay, then called Bookings to report the problem and the facility lied about what had just happened in their lobby.

Near perfect stay
Liked: The location is great, clean & spacious rooms
Disliked: door key card stopped working on multiple occasions during the stay. The last time at 2A.M. and I had to pee so bad and ended up having to go back downstairs to have them reprogram my key card while I was in agony hoping I did not pee myself in the lobby. That was rather inconvenient. Only other negative was the coffee provided in the room tastes awful. The coffee provided at Breakfast was great. I have stayed at Days inn on Colfax many times over the last 5 years and I have never had a major issue. It is always a good time staying there

avoid it if you can
Liked: It was available
Disliked: management avoided talking to me when I expressed that someone had broken into my room on my first night there, they said they “call the police“ but I saw no such thing happen and they just swapped out my room where I had to stop by the front desk every day for them to reactivate my key card. Every time I ask for the manager, they said he was not in. This was something I would never recommend.

Served purposes
Liked: The room was a lot nicer than indicated by the outside of the hotel. The location is convenient but a little dodgy. Overall it was a good deal, just not as nice as I would have liked.
Disliked: Paid parking, which is annoying. Lots of drywall work in the lobby without covering all the food and beverage appliances. Smelled of industrial cleaner outside and in the lobby. Not enough lighting in the room.
