The Spotlight on Days Inn by Wyndham Cincinnati East

Easy, Affordable Stays Just Outside Downtown Cincinnati

Classic and convenient, Days Inn by Wyndham Cincinnati East is a budget-friendly hotel located just off I-275, about 15 miles from downtown Cincinnati. It offers everything a concert-goer needs for a no-fuss trip: easy highway access, friendly service, and all the basics for a comfortable stay. With a seasonal outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi, and an on-site restaurant, it’s a solid pick for travelers looking to stay close to the action—without staying in the middle of it.

Why Concert-goers love it

Located just 15 miles from downtown Cincinnati’s major music venues, this hotel makes getting to and from shows simple and straightforward. You’re close enough to catch your favorite artist but far enough to avoid the late-night noise. The 24-hour front desk is a plus for post-show check-ins, and free parking makes it easy for road-trippers and locals alike. It’s a great option for fans needing a reliable base after a long night out.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a budget-friendly place to crash
  • Solo travelers in town for a must-see gig
  • Couples wanting a simple weekend getaway
  • Fans seeking a quiet space to recharge after the show
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who don’t mind being outside the city center

Food and Drink Options

The on-site restaurant is a convenient perk for grabbing a bite before or after your concert. While 24/7 room service isn’t available, there are several fast food and casual dining options nearby. Breakfast is available to fuel up after a late night, and coffee makers in every room mean you can start your day on your own terms.

Nightlife Options

This isn’t a party hotel—but that’s kind of the point. If you’re looking to wind down after a show, you’ll find peace and quiet here. Prefer to keep the night going? You’re a short drive from bars and lounges downtown, or you can check out local spots closer to the hotel in the Mt. Carmel area.

What People Say

Guests appreciate the easy highway access, clean rooms, and affordable rates. The hotel staff gets positive mentions for friendliness and helpfulness, especially at the front desk. For many, it’s a simple and dependable place to stay when attending events in the city.

Areas for Improvement

This hotel is more functional than flashy. Some reviewers note that the decor and furnishings are dated, and the drive to downtown can take 20–30 minutes depending on traffic. Also, if you’re looking for luxury or nightlife on-site, this may not be the best fit.

The Bottom Line

Days Inn by Wyndham Cincinnati East offers a budget-friendly, no-frills stay with easy access to Cincinnati’s live music scene—perfect for fans who want to enjoy the show and save on sleep.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Mystery stain on the ceiling; mystery dark colored splatter on the TV screen; black stains on the sink; stained sheets. Convenience was great.

Liked: Price.
Disliked: Shape of the room.

Rachel, Grove City, visiting PNC Pavilion

To be honest, I had never stayed at a cheap hotel before, which obviously the Days Inn is. I have however stayed at many hostels and this was WAY worse. There were stained sheets and a horribly nasty odor (even after switching rooms because the first was so bad). The walls were thin and damaged, the garbage had not been taken out, the carpet was filthy. I could go on. Hindsight, I wish I had coughed up the extra $70 to stay somewhere nicer so I could have slept. That being said, the lady at the front desk was kind as can be.

Liked: Close to venue.
Disliked: DIRTY!

Amber, Ashland, visiting Riverbend Music Center

Disliked: Had to get another room while there. Walked in and it smelled like an ash tray - it was supposed to be non smoking. There was ash on the floor by one of the tables. Then there was some kind of white powder sprinkling down in the air conditioning unit and corners of the room which I thought to be roach powder. And they had a black ice car freshener hanging from one of the lamps. Our second room was a little better but smelled weird and the beds were so hard and squeaky. We were down there for a concert and ended up leaving that night, not even staying in the room. Worst hotel experience I've ever had. Wished I could've got my money back.

I was so disappointed. When was the last time this motel was inspected by the health department? People from the bar were hanging out around our room when we returned from the concert and were very rude. There were stains on the sheets; shower looked like the ceiling was about to fall in. The door to get in the room has been kicked in before. This place should be gutted and rebuilt.

Liked: Staff was helpful and very friendly.
Disliked: This hotel reminded me of something that would be rented out by the hour.

I booked 3 rooms for the night. All were pre-paid through ConcertHotels.com. The rooms were all old and in need of updating and/or repair. Our room had wallpaper falling off the wall, and loose tiles in the bathroom. We couldn't get the water to come on for a shower and were told to just "pull really hard" on the faucet and it would come on. The entire room seemed very dirty and it was difficult to tell whether the sheets had been changed. Also the room had no "complimentary" soap, shampoo etc. as is common in any motel/hotel we have stayed in before. Our total cost for the rooms that night was $273.05! We have stayed at that particular exit many times but never the Days Inn before and never again. Probably better off to sleep in the car next time!

I stayed at the Days Inn East in Cincinnati Friday June 22nd. This was the filthiest room I've ever seen. The A/C didn't work - our room was so hot we could barely sleep. The hot water worked in spurts. The room stunk of mildew and the door squeaked every time it was opened. When we arrived back from the show there was no parking because of the crowded bar next door. When we went to the office to complain about the A/C we were treated badly by the rude staff. I've filed a complaint with Wyndam, but I seriously doubt anything will be done. If you go to Days Inn's Facebook page apparently the entire chain is a dump. I will NEVER stay at another Days Inn.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Filthy; A/C didn't work; stinks.
