Days Inn by Wyndham Black River Falls

Just average.Okay for a night...

Liked: Clean. Location was good, near the interstate. Was on the way to our next destination.
Disliked: Breakfast was not up to par. Foods needed to be replenished faster than they were. Had omelet station but no eggs. Pancake conveyer was having issues working. Food selection wasn’t great either.

Liked: The beds were comfortable, the pool was nice
Disliked: The staff was indifferent and vague. I asked specifically if there were any entrances closer to our room on the 2nd floor other than the main. I was told it was the best one. Stairwells were not clearly marked and zero guidance given from the staff. Found rear parking with rear entrance next to pool area,gave a direct view of our vehicle and was closer than main door. Guests shouldn't feel like an inconvenience, not even a smile?

Liked: Coffee at breakfast was great. The location was quiet and convenient - very close to stores and restaurants. The room decor was excellent. The beds were very comfortable. Sufficient towels were provided and everything was very clean. The refrigerator worked well and was very quiet.
Disliked: The only negatives in our opinion were that there was no coffee maker in the room and the curtatin was too long - it covered the air conditioner so that we had to put our shoes on it to hold it down on the windowsill so that the cool air could circulate in the room instead of behind the curtain!

Disliked: Spa had bugs in it (flies and ticks) were floating in water. Got out after seeing them.Asked for a rm NOT Nextdoor to anyone as we are light sleepers- they put a dog w guest in Nextdoor rm. Lots of other vacant rooms as it was a weekday stay. Disappointing and did not sleep well bc dog was barking and making noise.

Disliked: It could’ve used a better soap option for showering. The room smelt a little musty when walking in. But the stay was fine overall. Nothing fancy but nothing great either. We also stayed across the hall from an employee only room (I think for cleaning) and they kept slamming the door about 45 times coming in and out at 8am in the morning. Which was fine but we were trying to sleep in so that was slightly annoying.

240$ is expensive for two...
