Dreadful and very disappointing

Liked: Our room was fairly clean and the bed comfortable with acceptable linen, the sink and bath room facilities looked fairly new. The air conditioning worked well.The staff were pleasant.
Disliked: Several of the electrical points did not work. The fridge, housed in an old wooden cabinet, was horrendously noisy and kept us awake at night. The curtains had evidence of mould and an unpleasant odour. There was an armchair in the room which should have been disposed of long ago, it was filthy. The furniture in the room was generally very old and needs replacingThe reception was uninviting and grubby, in a small part of which was the "breakfast area" with only one table and six chairs, breakfast available was meagre at best.We had thought we could cope with the situation for two nights but when on the first morning we found cockroaches in the room we left early and stayed elsewhere.Booking.com will be informed and should not have this accommodation on their list.
