Ok stay

Liked: Large clean room, nice bathroom, comfortable bed, pillows could be better. Smelt nice and clean throughout.Great location, broke up a long journey home. Next to services with starbucks, burger king, subway and whsmiths.2 lovely ladies on reception when we arrived. Dog friendlyPlenty of parkingWe would stay again but will ask for a room upstairs.
Disliked: Walls are paperthinLate arrivals in the room above (11.45pm) woke us up, letting kids run round the room and tv on till early hours. Not what we needed when facing a long drive the next day. Late check ins are ok but surely its common sense to arrive quietly which this family didnt do. I did go to reception around midnight and was informed that on arriving they needed an extra bed in the room, so the receptionist was in the room with them with the children running round like lunatics, not sure why she thought that was acceptable and didnt ask for them to quieten down. They obviously arent aware quite how much sound carries through the rooms as this is an old building in need of some maintenance. We would stay again but on the upper floor to avoid the same issue.
