We enjoyed our stay! The...

Style without Service

Liked: Grand old hotel with style. Valets were on top of things
Disliked: Waited half an hour to checkin with only one desk staff. Spokane is a hole.

Great stay, sketchy practices

Liked: Very nice property- felt historic, but a bit dated in the rooms. The common area was beautiful!
Disliked: The Davenport added an extra $20 daily facility/resort fee upon check in after I had paid the full charge with Booking.com, which included other fees and city taxes. Davenport then handed me coupons of the same value for each day (i.e. $20 coupon for $20 resort fee), and this seemed very suspicious to me that they were not reporting this fee to Booking.com. I had at least three separate interactions with the front desk who said it was “mandatory,” that this was an acceptable fee and that third party vendors knew about this charge, etc. I had a representative from Booking.com call them directly after told me that there should not be additional charges made after I paid for the hotel. The front desk removed one charge after they talked to the Booking.com rep, did not tell me about the removal of this one charge, and left the charges for the remaining days. What this tells me is that they were trying to pull a fast one on Booking.com and me. Otherwise, the hotel was wonderful, but beware!
