Daven Haven Lodge & Cabins Guest Reviews

Daven Haven Lodge & Cabins blends cozy, mountain-lodge vibes with a laid-back lakeside atmosphere—perfect for music fans looking to unwind after a show. Nestled in scenic Grand Lake and just an 11-minute stroll from Grand Lake Beach, this property offers a mix of private cabins and lodge-style accommodations with nature right outside your door.
Quiet nights after the encore are guaranteed here—this lodge is set away from highway noise yet close enough to walk to local music events and lakeside venues. The free Wi-Fi makes it easy to share your concert memories, and the relaxed atmosphere is ideal for a peaceful post-show wind-down. While check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM, the staff is friendly and may accommodate special requests if you're arriving late from a gig.
Daven Haven has its own on-site restaurant and bar, so you don’t have to go far for a post-show bite or nightcap. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the barbecue facilities and nearby eateries make it easy to keep the vibes going. Breakfast isn’t always included, so late risers should plan ahead—but the full kitchen in some cabins means you can DIY your own brunch after a late night.
While the lodge itself is more about relaxed nights under the stars than high-energy clubbing, it’s within walking distance of local bars and lakeside taverns where live music and local brews flow freely. If you're not heading to a concert, the on-site bar is a great place to sip something local and unwind.
Guests love the peaceful mountain setting, friendly staff, and the convenience of being close to Grand Lake’s main attractions. Reviews highlight the cleanliness of the cabins and the sense of privacy they offer. Many travelers appreciate the rustic charm and the ability to cook meals in the cabin kitchens.
The 10:00 AM check-out time can feel a bit early after a late night out, and while the internet is free, mountain Wi-Fi can occasionally be spotty. The rustic style isn’t for those looking for modern luxury, but that’s part of the charm for most guests.
If you're headed to a concert near Grand Lake and want a quiet, cabin-style stay with charm and convenience, Daven Haven Lodge & Cabins hits all the right notes.

Couldn’t be happier.
Liked: The location was perfect, it was exactly what we were looking for cozy little mountain cabin in the snow. The kitchen had everything we needed to make snacks/drinks and enjoy leftovers from the nearby restaurants we ate most of our meals at. My family of 4 never ran out of hot water. We Walking distance to a bunch of cute little shops that we enjoyed. The staff was beyond accommodating and helped our family with everything we needed and kept regular contact to make sure we were good.My family and I will definitely be returning here the next time we want a little snow vacay.

It was ok, but I...
Liked: The location was nice. The small kitchen was adequate.
Disliked: No staff around to check us in or to help with issues. A tiny little piece of soap (about the size of a 50-cent coin) that was supposed to last two people for two days. It ended up falling through the wire soap rack in the tiny shower and breaking into pieces. The bed is long overdue for replacement. The decorative pillows had drool and other disgusting gunk on them.

Very small but cozy cabin...
Liked: Perfect location. Traditional feeling space. Nice fireplace. Easy access to all the restaurants in Grand Lake, and the lake itself.
Disliked: Very tiny space. The lighting is insufficient. Even with all the lights on, we had to use flashlights to see in some spaces, like the closet. The pull out sofa was uncomfortable, so our son simply slept on the sofa itself with sheets. The furniture seems too large and bulky for such a small space. Slimmer furniture could help.

Sold off in fractional shares, became a trailer park.
Liked: Most appliances were broken.
Disliked: Daven haven was clearly sold off in fractional shares. The place has become more akin to a trailer park with most units now being permanent residents. Loud trucks reving, oil changes in parking lot, inoperative cars on blocks, violent dogs left unattended roaming property, unsafe to walk dogs on leash. Drunk neighbors who harass and peep into our windows wanting conversations and attention or genuinely do not understand leaving people alone. Owner is extremely disorganized and failed to communicate basic information like the cabin number. Owner was annoyed we called asking for number. Owner attempted to do everything off the books from booking.com. Overall we are in agreement that the Daven Haven has imploded with the sale. We stayed here multiple times from 2018-2022. This will be our final time.
