Liked: The location
Disliked: Everything. Room was horrible, we could get any TV service what so ever and no one ever came to check. The bathroom was disgusting. Behind the toilet and under the sink was so dirty and gross. The room would never cool off and we had the AC on 60 the whole time. Every sound in that hotel or outside was multipled 100 times. They would come to get the garbage at 2:30am every morning and that was so freaking loud.

The hotel was dirty, but...

Disliked: The hotel was dirty, but the location was good.The room smelled like damp carpet, and the value for money was poor.

All in all I would...

Liked: Hotel is in a great location. Walkable to everything in the French Quarter but also close to the highway to get out easy. Our room in Hermann house was very comfortable and a good aircon which was needed in August. More importantly it was quiet! It’s only a street over from Bourbon Street so it was nice to retreat there and not be able to hear any of that noise.
Disliked: Parking was expensive but also safe and secure and valet was quick. We were there during Red Dress Run and was glad to see the car behind a locked gate late at night. The pool was a bit dirty/ murky/ had a couple of band aids in it. On day 3 of our stay we found the smoke detector wrapped up in a towel in a drawer of the bathroom and I mentioned this to the front desk but he couldn’t have cared less. Hopefully he passes it on to housekeeping to be more thorough in turning the rooms over as it’s a safety issue.

Affordable Hotel in a Great...

Liked: Location was great. Street noise was a bother until midnight, and then it mostly quieted down. We had a balcony room over Dauphine St. The room is showing a little wear and tear. It was clean where it needed to be and the bed was comfortable! Rooms could use a complete "down to the studs" remodel. We didn't eat at the hotel.
Disliked: We visited on one of the hottest and most humid days of the year, August 1-3. The air conditioner cooled well, but the air felt humid and still at times. Luckily I had brought a USB fan, and I used it to circulate the air in the room. This made the air feel just a little cooler so that I could be more comfortable. Bring a small fan if you will be at the hotel between May 13th and Sept 26th.The room is showing a little wear and tear. It was clean where it needed to be and the bed was comfortable! Rooms could use a complete "down to the studs" remodel. But don't raise the room rates!The in-room refrigerator froze our water bottles. Not sure if temp is adjustable.
