Dashwood Manor Seaside Bed & Breakfast

Compared to other small accommodation...

Liked: We were disappointed with the breakfast. The second day was better than the first day, but not the standard we expected based on price paid and our experience in another nearby small heritage hotel.
Disliked: When we arrived I was both surprised and disappointed by the poor landscaping, extensive weeds, worn and dirty front stairs into the property. Within the room, while the bathroom was extremely large, it was most unappealing and the tiny shower was uncomfortable and difficult to use.

Liked: A charming B&B in a great location across from the water and next to Beaconhill Park.

Wonderful staff, room in disrepair

Liked: The staff were fantastic, as was the location and breakfast. The cookies and snacks available 24/7 alongside water bottles and pop was wonderful. The location was beautiful.
Disliked: The room we stayed in had dirty windowsill and around the bath tub was visibly dirty, there was a lot of peeling and chipped wallpaper, the curtains were fraying with strings of fabric draping to the floor. The toilet seat had multiple chips in it.

Liked: Breakfast was great:)) It was hot and busy in there. Possibly could have used more staff
Disliked: Our room was not updated. Im aware they dont want to lose the style of the house. But updating the bathroom fixtures would be nice

Overall not that bad, but...

Liked: Beautiful location, view to the sea and the park. Interesting interior , nice stuff, beautiful dining room.
Disliked: Quite worn out, especially bathroom: new pain coat needed, bathtub was in bad condition too. There was jacuzzi in the room though. Breakfast though plenty not very tasty (liked fruit salad and yogurt, but not the pancakes.
