Liked: Grounds were very pretty and relaxing. Property had lots of character and Staff were all professional, friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and room was a great size.
Disliked: We stayed in the Heron which is one of the larger rooms but there was no mini fridge to keep water chilled, the WiFi was completely non existent throughout the hotel which was frustrating as being in a rural location, the phone signal was very hit and miss. The average age of residents was around 70, so very quiet, which whilst lovely did not give the hotel much of an atmosphere.

We loved it. Classy but...

Liked: Friendly staff and beautiful quiet location. The location is probably its greatest asset, that and the actual building. It’s light bright and has a lovely atmosphere. The food was also very good. I’d love to return.
Disliked: The half term price was hefty. Too much. There could be some thought given to the interior eg a few plants on the gorgeous plant stands in the bar? Mirrors always improve everything. Outside some new furniture (or replace the well worn cushions. At the very least, wash them!).
