Liked: Great location, superb view. we arrived by car but then came and went by bicycle (into Keswick - best via St John's in the Vale - also lovely cycle ride around Thirlmere) and bus as well as on foot to climb Helvellyn.
Disliked: I understand they are going to get the extractor from the bathroom fixed. Otherwise, all good!

Beautiful peaceful location to unwind

Liked: The beauty of location the serenity and silence except for birdsong and sound of water. Immediate access to the lake and walks. Perfect for complete break away from hustle and bustle.
Disliked: The water pressure is poor so whilst the showers are clean and look good to use, the water pressure is disappointing but understand this is due to gravity fed water pressure.

Liked: Really good well cooked breakfast. Staff were friendly and most helpful. The grounds, situation and views were picuresque - perfect.
Disliked: Nothing

Relaxing stay.

Liked: Views from the garden were lovely. Set back from the main road so very tranquil. Rooms clean and comfy.Staff were great.
Disliked: General areas of the hotel were outdated, however fitted in with the age of the building. No draught drinks avaialbe.

Disliked: In one of our rooms the cups weren’t clean. Maybe having black mugs isn’t such a good idea . Other than that everything was good

walking trip near Thirlmere

Liked: Nice old building in lovely quiet spot - on the banks of the lake. Friendly staff.
Disliked: There isn't really a restaurant service at present. Bar meals can be prepared by one of the team, if requested. There is a good pub on the main road just opposite the drive, if you want a restaurant meal.
