Liked: Great self catering apartment in an amazing old landhouse directly at the lake. Very quiet at night. The location is great to visit the surrounding lakes. The host was very helpful and always open for any questions.
Disliked: It wasn't a big deal but helps to know that the self catering apartment has no basic ingredients like salt or oil available.

A wonderful stay in a terrific location, with great food and great service!

Liked: Conversations with the very friendly manager, who cooked us a fine evening meal and talked with us about the history of the place. Breakfast was also wonderful - best bacon that my wife has ever had cooked for her! Wonderful location, where we had a good walk in the grounds the next morning, before we left. Beautiful views of Thirlmere. Very comfortable and clean room, and bathroom. Facilities all worked well. We loved the uneven floors, originality and character of the place, including the 2000 extension. Convenient, onsite, nearby free parking. Great value for money!
Disliked: Nothing, to be honest. We will look for a chance to stay again. Sorry that you want a little more, but nothing else needs to be said!!
