Disappointing stay
Liked: The meal provided in the Da Vinci restaurant was superb, excellent chef and kitchen staff, the waiting staff went over and above too.Only issue is listed above.
Disliked: I was very concerned when we arrived that the staff in reception and then the restaurant staff seemed to believe they were invincible and did not need screens up nor needed to wear masks and or face visors.... that a one way system was ok and kept them safe!!!!! We wore our masks as directed by the powers that be to protect us and those around us. I felt the staff were vulnerable themselves.Bed mattress was lumpy and springs could be felt .....we ended up sleeping on quilt and covered ourselves with our coats. The room and bathroom need a revamp also....very "tired". Very basic considering cost.The uht milk for the coffee or tea in the room was off it had curdled.....which was surprising as it was uht....no dates on it so it was questionable as to where it had been stored and for how long. This was also reported to reception in the evening and the next morning when checking outLift stopped working due to fire alarm going off while we were at dinner at 6pm...still wasnt working at 11pm. Complained about it to reception but very poor service in regards to getting this sorted with the result our sleep was disturbed twice by fire alarm going off again. When I complained in morning I was told it was a fault they were trying to sort....not good enough it should have been sorted after it first went off very poor service and shows a lack of care towards customers.No lift was okay for those on ground or first floor after that it was a challenge for those staying above those floors.I am concerned that the only offer made was at check out and I was told..." when you come back contact us directly and we will sort you out".....Sorry but where would you ever get from the issues raised that we would want to come back.I can honestly say i have never been so disappointed by a hotel I actually have told my friends that a travelodge was a better standard and they all know how much i dislike them.

Liked: Great rooms...most staff were polite...nice walk to Foyle Bridge nearby....food was ok
Disliked: I didn't like getting charged £12 to sit outside and eat in a corrugated plastic hut
