The Cumbria Grand is on 25 acres of gardens and woodlands and is only a 15-minute drive from Lake Windermere. It provides free Wi-Fi in public areas of the property. The bathrooms have bathtubs and showers and the spacious rooms feature a TV hairdryers and tea-coffee making facilities. Many rooms offer panoramic sea views of Morecambe Bay and beyond to the Yorkshire Dales. Liked: Grange is possibly the most relaxing town in the Lake district. People greet each other. I sat for six hours in the sun on the promenade surrounded by beautiful flower displays. I highly recommend visiting the town. Hotel set in its own mature woodland with pleasant walks.
Disliked: Not being able to buy a mansion overlooking the estuary.

Quiet and peaceful stay and...

Liked: The peacock in the garden and at the window of the corridor looking at us
Disliked: Buffet dinner was kind of okay, table service would have been much better
