Crystal Sands Motel

Not for my family.

Liked: The place was nice, clean, close to boardwalk. The bad thing is it’s not for someone with a child with ADHD, as you have to be quiet and control your child we were told. It’s to strict , cannot sit outside and make any noise !
Disliked: Cannot make any noise. Coming from boardwalk @ nite cannot sit outside and make any noise, have child with ADHD outside in balcony they will complain about anything! To strict we our on vacation, not in school.

Love the owners. Clean, quaint...

Over all our stay was...

Liked: The property was located 1 minute of walking distance to the boardwalk. My kids actually loved it. They loved it because they were able to walk to the boardwalk or to the beach several times a day whenever they wanted to. They liked that the room was cleaned. The room, the towels and sheets were cleaned. The room, bathroom, shower, kitchen seemed like they were recently renovated. We loved it that they have air conditioning and it made the room very cold. Even though, as it was with any typical window air conditioner it comes with the typical noise that any window air conditioner would have.
Disliked: Also, what I didn’t really like about the room was as we went to sleep we could hear footsteps or noises that the guest in the top floor above us made. For examples, noise from moving furniture or footsteps pacing back and forth. The other thing that we didn’t like was the parking at the location was very crowded and the parking spaces were small. If you a small car or some cars like a small suv would be fine. They do have a 2nd parking lot that we found it to be useful which was located about 1 block away from the location.

Liked: Everything about this place was great!! Love the old school feel of this place. I would hands down stay here again. Very clean. Staff was super friendly. The parking in front of the motel is very limited and tight. However, there is overflow parking directly behind the motel and it's certainly not an inconvenience of a walk. A few reviews made me worry until I got there. People need to stop being lazy and feeling so entitled and just walk a little more. Enjoy the scenery and get out of their phones. This place is definitely a gem for sure!!!❤️❤️❤️

Great location for the price

Liked: The location was excellent for the price! As a single mom of 3, I was incredibly grateful for the kitchenette so we could make some of our food to save some money. The kitchenette did have most of the necessities to cook, but be sure to check everything out because some of the utensils are flimsy. The living area itself was updated and spacious, so we had plenty of room to stretch out. The front desk woman was incredibly helpful and kind. I was able to meet the owner and the owner was such an awesome down to earth man. We will definitely be back to support!!
Disliked: The bathroom was extremely gross and dirty. It looked like someone got sick all over and it was stuck all over the walls. For my own peace of mind, I cleaned the bathroom myself. I am a professional house cleaner so I notice more details than most people. The floor in the room was full of sand but nothing a good sweep couldn't fix! The biggest complaint I have is that the parking lot is annoyingly small. If you don't stay in your parking spot you may possibly lose it. Then you need to park about a block or two away and it's rather inconvenient. NOT impossible to get to just inconvenient, but we're young and don't mind walking.

Disliked: Parking was terrible had to park in the other lot that was at least 7 to 10 minute walk longest part is trying to cross the road they need to take over the parking lot right behind the motel this would be a 10 out of 10 if the parking was better
