Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport By IHG

My friends and I went to a wedding in Mississauga. I'm currently in Scarborough which is about a 30 to 45 minute drive east of this hotel. I called ahead and asked for our rooms to be beside each other or conjoined. I was on the 11th and they were on the 8th. It was all booked on one card. My room was a little small but looked renovated. Their room was a bit bigger but a little more on the shabbier side. Both faucets for the tub were falling off and we also had to pay for parking.

Disliked: Asked for conjoined rooms or rooms beside each other. We were on two different floors. Had to pay for parking. Faucets for the sinks were falling off.

Liked: Comfortable and clean rooms; friendly staff who were willing to do their upmost to make my visit enjoyable. From start (on-line reservation) to the stay was perfect!

Disappointing

Liked: The bed was very comfortable
Disliked: They had no water. They didn't inform us of this prior to checking in nor did they inform us about this when we were checking in. We checked in around midnight after a long drive and we couldn't take a shower or flush the toilet. You rent a room for a bed and a bathroom and one of those was not available. We got up to the room, unpacked, and then tried to turn on the water and then realized there was a problem. When we called the desk to find out why the shower wasn't working, that's when we were told there was no water. Considering we had to leave at 6am for a flight, this room was a complete waste of money. There are a ton of hotels in this area and we would have chosen a different one if we would have been informed prior to checking in or at the check in. This was completely unacceptable and poor service.

Overall, it was a pleasant...

Liked: The hotel was very clean, the staff were extremely respectful, and the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful which I really appreciate
Disliked: Unfortunately, the pool water was too cold to enjoy, and the air conditioner in the room was quite noisy, which made it difficult to sleep.

Close comfy expensive.

Liked: Close to airport, comfortable beds/bedding (although could have been a bit bigger!), airport shuttle, decent buffet breakfast, friendly staff.
Disliked: With breakfast included option only adults are included. They told us when we checked in that our kids 7 and 11 were $15 extra EACH for breakfast. Double beds were small for 1 adult and 1 child. Room was only equipped with 1 set of towels. No one offered to help bring our bags to the room (traveling alone with kids for 2 days when we arrived it could have been a nice gesture but I’m aware it’s not common in Canada).
