An enjoyable stay let down...

Liked: Comfortable room. Great location. Place feels special.
Disliked: Bathroom layout was very poor - huge plinth under a tiny sink which meant the toilet was squeezed into a corner and very difficult to use. The same plinth meant it was impossible to reach the shower from out of the bath to rinse the tub too. I expect better when paying this much - it's basic stuff. Charging for parking on top of the room charge is money grabbing. Also, both our coffees were dreadful at breakfast - undrinkable.

It was what we needed,...

Liked: Just a short walk from where we needed to get to in town, quiet surroundings, beautiful features
Disliked: The room was smaller than we expected, there was a window but no views or light coming in, as it was just facing more parts of the building and ducting, and we had to continually run the air conditioning on cool due to there being a boiler or something right next to our room, which made it unbearable to switch the cooling off, that would have been fine-but I personally wouldn’t normally use air conditioning constantly like this myself as it dries my sinuses out, causing sore throats and nose bleeds.. i was also disappointed at the payment system, as it meant almost double payment was removed from my account and unavailable to me- they took £500 as security on arrival, which was then released back to me when they took the actual payment when we checked out, but it left the first payment pending for a week! So for a short period, the room actually cost me over £900!! Something to definitely look out for when budgeting for a stay here! I do not have the spare cash for this sort of thing, so it did cause me to be overdrawn unfortunately.

Liked: The building was lovely. Great carpark out the front as we hired a car.
Disliked: The staff were rude and annoyed when we asked a question. The breakfast room was too compact, with not enough room to move around. Our room was dusty, especially in between the cabinets
