Good stay with a great breakfast.

Disliked: It was great, so nothing.

Delightful stay. Good dÃ©cor and well fitted room. We had a pre-theatre meal in bar - excellent and good service; ditto the breakfast. Highly recommended. 5 minutes walk to Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall and tram stop .

An old & tired hotel...

Liked: Staff were friendly & helpful, and check-in & check-out were both quick.
Disliked: The decor is old & tired, the rooms are small, the bathroom is very basic, and the whole hotel smells old & stale. For what it is, it's very overpriced. I stayed in the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool the night before, and the 2 couldn't be more different - beautiful, large modern rooms, tastefully furnished, the brteakfast was of a very high standard, and it was £20 cheaper with better parking and a much better location.

Exceptional

Liked: Matthew and Gemma went the extra mile for me during my stay. I was in a really sticky situation and they worked with me in order to find a solution to my issue. They were attentive and patient and did what they could - which ended up exceeding my expectation of resolving the issue at hand. They did this whilst also simultaneously serving other people which truly displayed their skill in working under pressure - to which I was very impressed. I am very happy, very grateful for their presence during my check-in. They really made sure my time away for work was not a disaster and the hole I dug myself in was easy to get out with them helping me.Matthew and Gemma, thank you so much. You are keeping a big name like Crowne Plaza keep up their reputation.

Great bed, but needs a...

Liked: bed was very comfy, staff were nice
Disliked: the space at the end of the bed meant my husband had to shuffle sideways to get out in the night to go to the loo, there was not enough space to walk normally, even for someone very small, it was not very convenient. also there is no main light in the room, just around the edges,so it meant only the bathroom was any use for putting on make up,or seeing properly in the mirror.
