Crowne Plaza Newcastle - Stephenson Quarter

Great location, super comfortable place!!

Liked: The room was spacious and very comfortable. There were complimentary teas and coffees with biscuits and water. the hotel is greatly positioned behind the main station. Great sleep. No noise. The carpets were deep and muffled any sound. The towels were big and fluffy. The bathroom had a bath and a shower! Great curtains for total blackout. The pool is smaller than expected, though the water is warm. The steam room is bigger than expected and really good. There is a gym and Jacuzzi, and it looks good though I did not use them.
Disliked: There were a little stains on the carpet in the room. Could have been mud or a tea/coffee stain? The Internet is not too great, as I was trying to see TT highlights on youtube but keep on breaking up. I would have liked some eucalyptus scent in the steam room for greater enjoyment.

Liked: Breakfast, bed was comfortable, quiet, close to city centre, drinks pricing was not to bad.
Disliked: Had to complain about basics in the room, like body wash was empty in the shower, asked for Decafe tea from 3 days then it arrived 1 tea bag! they hung dirty towels back in the rack to be used again. problem was i mopped the floor with one and it was scruffy dirty on 1 side only, meaning the floor was not clean from the start, pity the shower door did not close correct, they swapped the room for me or as they called it a upgrade! only difference i could see is the bed was 6 ins wider the rest looked the same, the main entrance windows are in desperate need of cleaning, more so when the sun was on them.
