Ok facilities but staff very...

Liked: Check in staff very rude. We were checked into the wrong room. The bar area was filthy with dirty glasses on most tables. Spa staff rude too.
Disliked: Staff very rude

Not worth the money

Liked: The bed was very comfortable, breakfast was great
Disliked: We were greated by very rude staff. Children can only go to the pool for 45 minutes and you must prebook it. It's not really that children-friendly really, is it?The menu at the restaurant is ridiculously overpriced and really average quality for what you get. We were so disappointed.The room was really noisy due to putting us in the middle of a wedding party. This could have been easily sorted, just such bad planning!

It wasn't the best value...

Liked: The facilities were great
Disliked: It was out of the town centre so quite a walk it's taxi to Marlow. It wasn't as clean as I had hoped for the price and standard - quite a few dirty glasses around. There corridors was very noisy all night in doors to other rooms slamming constantly with guests going in and out. Could hear talking and noise from other rooms too.

Really lovely stay but the...

Liked: The hotel itself is beautiful. Very relaxing, very comfortable and the whole place really feels like you are on a holiday break. The breakfast was delicious!! Well worth staying & will go again.
Disliked: The cost!! Booking.com was done with pay at hotel. I was contacted the day before arrival saying that it would be cancelled if an upfront payment was not made to secure the booking, then during the stay a payment was taken from the card each night which didn't correspond to the rates....all very confusing...then the full amount for the stay was taken from the card before checkout!! Not exactly ideal as it was supposed to be a birthday treat so my friend was supposed to be paying! Really left a sour note. The general manager was not helpful throughout our stay either as we had an issue with our treatments which were £75 each! I thought we had dinner included but we didn't. If we had booked with the hotel direct the package would have been £419 with dinner included & 2 treatments but instead it cost £486 plus dinner plus treatments on top so totalling over £600!! I spoke to reservations when booking & was told to cancel the booking.com booking & book direct but they couldn't secure that particular weekend without full payment upfront! The whole reason why I book through booking.com. I have children so therefore need the flexibility for possible cancellation.
