Wonderful and comfortable I will...
Liked: Lovely hotel, fantastic restaurant and huge buffet breakfast great food! The staff were very good and helped with everything I needed. Thank you to John, Dominic and Ram for going above and beyond. Great location able to walk to get essentials and beautiful river and pub just opposite.

Generally nice room, good shower...
Liked: The room was good although very grey. Every part of the room was grey from the curtains to the walls to carpet. A dash of colour would have been welcomed. If you have had a bad day the decor will do nothing to make you feel better.
Disliked: The pillows were awful. one was far too hard and the other way too lumpy. I tried all the four pillows but could not find a comfortable one and as a result had a really bad nights sleep, waking up frequently. Not good

Liked: We were up-graded to a club room which was very comfortable - but only because there was no standard twin-bedded room available despite having booked one..
Disliked: The Hotel is in Thames Ditton, not Kingston and is at the front of a small industrial estate facing, but across the road from the River. The hotel car park is at the back of that industrial estate. The estate was disgustingly dirty and un-cared for. I would not want to walk to the car park on my own in the dark.The Reception staff were friendly but not very efficient. It took three quarters of an hour for us to finally get a twin bedded room. We were asked to wait in a double room while the Receptionist tried to chase up a twin room for us. He said it would take 5 to ten minutes and that we we should sit down and wait for him. There was only one chair in the room and after half an hour we phoned Reception from that room to find out what was happening. Finally we were taken to a very pleasant club room.The service at breakfast was not good. We came down at 9.30am and the Breakfast Room was full. There was no juice left in any of the dispensers; only one piece of bacon and one hash brown and one croissant left on the buffet. The buffet dishes etc were replenished slowly during our time in the Breakfast Room - but there were always guests hanging around the buffet waiting for that to happen. There were no cups or mugs by the self service coffee machines. A Waiter did offer to bring us our order of mugs of coffee - but it took about ten minutes for that to arrive!
