One set of elevators didn't work, two others were just slow - we didn't ride on an elevator the entire time.

Liked: Close to the venue.
Disliked: TV didn't work; elevators didn't work; printer didn't work; staff was very unhelpful.

Liked: The staff was very kind and the Improv Comedy Club that we were going to was right across the highway. There is also a shuttle that will take you to your destination of a 5 mile radius and will bring you back as long as it's before 11pm. Awesome experience.

Liked: Quiet at night and good location.
Disliked: The lobby was under construction and no one told us. When we walked in there was no front desk and I just stood there looking for it. I asked the construction worker where it was and he pointed to two ladies dressed in dark suits chit-chatting in a corner totally oblivious to me. Then they tried to give us a room close to the elevator which we denied so we were given another room on another floor which we found out later did not have a working phone and had not been remodeled. The next morning I tried to order room service from our non working room phone. We ended up using my cell phone and I had to call nearly 10 times before someone answered at the front desk and that was both mornings. I got a young man who was exceptionally rude and could care less about our phone and our discomfort. He was extremely flip and arrogant about how long he'd worked there without ever having a complaint. We had stayed there once before a few years ago and there was a middle-aged man at the front desk running the place that was impeccable that's why we returned to this hotel. But this was a horrible experience and even the texts received while we were there asking how it went when I told them about our phone and how we couldn't get room service there was no caring or concern about our discomfort. They were like well it was on the website that's under construction. I mean who goes to the hotel's website when they book at booking.com at a place they booked at before. It was my birthday and it was really disappointing. The texting person or AI whatever it was asked how they can make it up to me and I said comping our breakfast would be good but they never comped it and I still had to trot down to the 1st floor to place our order. We went on a cruise out of Galveston the next day so really didn't pursue any reparations but we won't be returning. I can tell you completely honestly that we are not difficult and have never had this happen anywhere.

Liked: Location to what we were in town for was very convenient. Rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was good, staff was friendly.

Liked: Friendly and smiling members of staff. Close to The Galleria and only a km. walk to some shops and restaurants.
Disliked: I didn't know the hotel was under renovation when I booked it in Bookng.com, at the reception it was noisy, cluttered and dusty which was quite disappointing when we checked in. I opt for breakfast but not realising it only catered for 2 person but I booked for 3 as family, the receptionist tried to talk to her manager but to no avail we ended up paying extra for breakfast. It's all confusing to me when we got in the hotel, the renovation, the breakfast, etc... It's a frustrating stay coming all the way from Ireland. At least we enjoyed the swimming pool which by the way a notice at the elevator that the pool is under renovation(?).

Liked: Clean and comfortable! Staff was helpful and nice. Room was very spacious and clean. I highly recommend this property. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was nice.

Liked: Construction work was going on, with dust and temporary walls. We had to meet important clients and so was totally unsuitable. We checked out after 1 day. I am an IHG member and felt very let down.,
