Overpriced/disappointing

Liked: Never informed there was breakfast, if it cost money or was complimentary. Room was clean. Located conveniently off the expressway.
Disliked: Upon check in we weren’t given any information about the hotel. Where to find the pool or if breakfast cost money. Requested extra towels the 2nd day and no one came with towels. Weren’t informed beforehand about the $50 deposit on hold for 3 full business days before it was released. Heat was programmed on the thermostat so we had to get up and keep turning it to AC. The bathroom toilet didn’t flush without holding the handle down. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Had to leave the door open so the room wasn’t dripping with humidity. Some outlets wouldn’t accept the plugs. Neighborhood was sketchy as hell. Didn’t feel safe after dark. Food in the area was terrible.

Nice place to stay but...

Liked: our room was very clean, beds were comfy. The inside of the hotel was nice overall.
Disliked: the breakfast buffet was good but a little expensive. Too much when traveling with children. The outside of the building definitely needed some TLC. Dead shrubs and flowers made for an unpleasant entrance. We were most sad that the 14th floor garden was just a big open space. would have been nice if there were tables and chairs out there so we could sit outside and enjoy the view. there were garden lights too that were never turned on.

The hotel itself was beautiful...

Liked: It was beautiful and had a beautiful view
Disliked: Only one elevator was working and there were so many people leaving at the same time since us was state fair weekend. We waited 45 minutes for an elevator and ended up having to ride to the top floor (we were staying in the 10th floor) just to be able to get back down to the main floor to check out. The elevator then stopped at every floor even though there was no one there waiting for it. It was very frustrating especially for the price I paid for the room. Also it was supposed to be 2 queen beds and ended up having to share a king bed.

Second Room clean … they...

Liked: Room air conditioner was not loud. Comfy beds.
Disliked: Had to change rooms… first room had inoperative sink facet. Put service room please on door after first night… nothing happened. When we mentioned to front desk they asked if we put the sign the correct way….. Really???

Very good

Liked: The location was perfect for our stay. The room was very quiet and could not hear any noises outside of room. Beds were very cozy and comfortable.
Disliked: The only downside to our stay was one escalator and two of the three elevators were broken. It made coming and going with luggage a bit of a struggle. We also noticed there were only 3 towels in the room for 4 people.
