Good value for money

Liked: Room size was bigger than expected for us as a couple. The bathroom was equally big. The bed was very comfortable, there was a sofa in the room, a fridge which was really helpful to store some foods, a microwave, a coffee maker though it was not working but they change it after we complained to one that was working. Having a free car park was great. The area felt safe and quiet. We found good restaurants not too far from the hotel (about 20-25 mins walk).
Disliked: The location was not great for us as we were visiting New York. It's quite far from the City of New York, public transport takes about an hour and the bus stop is about 15 mins walk away. A taxi from JFK Airport to the hotel cost us about $170. We ended up hiring a car. The hotel is quite old and will do with some modernisation, for example, the air con was an old model and was making loud noise difficult to keep on if you want to sleep well. A modern air con will do well. However, it did the job of keeping the room really cool at a time when the weather was hot.
