Liked: Fabulous proprietors, truly lovely people offering a brilliant service on a gorgeous b&b. Really clean and comfy, relaxing and no fuss; fabulous breakfast and great local knowledge. No need to drive, accessible on the train; half way between Tore and Torquay. They have car parking.
Disliked: Was a beautiful building however a bit hairy walking to it on foot, either from Tore station ( down hill) and local chip shop and shops. Better if walking from Torquay station however it is up hill to b&b. Walk down hill from b&b best bet!

Liked: Lovely couple who ran a homely hotel. They couldn't do enough for you.
Disliked: Wet room difficulty as it made all the floor wet but I can see how it would be useful for those who can't walk

Excellent

Liked: Lovely room and bathroom which were spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need. The breakfast was fantastic with fresh fruit to start, a freshly cooked breakfast followed by toast. Cereal and yoghurts were also available. Pat and John were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We travelled around Devon and stayed at 3 different places but Crowndale was by far the best (and cheapest!) Highly recommend and hope to return.
