Crown Hotel

Very good, other than the...

Liked: Pub and gardens, and the location of the hotel with regards to our other destinations. We actually have stayed at the hotel on other occasions as my wife was born and raised in Blandford, but we now live in Canada.
Disliked: It was not clear at check in if breakfast was included. We were told it was served , and in what area but not it it was included in the rate.. We were quite surprised by the added costs of the breakfast charges when we checked out, especially as we only had a light toast breakfast on the last day.The gardens were great, but unfortunately smokers often lit up and it ruined the experience of the surroundings. .

Liked: Excellent location for travelling to Compton Abbas airfield. Lovely Regency decor and outside seating in the garden was also very nice.Had an upgrade to an airconditioned room which was such a bonus in the recent hot weather.Food in the restaurant was very good as was breakfast.Plenty of parking APR controlled.Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good hotel in prime location.

Liked: Location, staff, who were friendly and helpful. Car parking was excellent. Food very good.
Disliked: Not enough variety of fruit at breakfast. No vegetarian option for breakfast, offering vegan is not the same at all.

Liked: The staff are very friendly. It’s in a lovely town with a great location.
Disliked: We were staying in room number 10, it was unbearably hot and stuffy, we couldn’t open the window no more than 6 inches, on the hottest day of the year, I’ve never done this before, but I could not sleep in the room so in the middle of the night I got up and went and slept in my car

Disliked: We had an issue with a noisy extractor fan but were moved to another room without fuss.
