A very relaxing break

Liked: The space and how modern it was. The views from bar 180 over the land was nice
Disliked: The wasps!

Disliked: When we stayed it was exceptionally hot weather, our room was like a oven, it was soUncomfortably hot, despite a small fan. I went and asked a staff member for another fan but despite this, I barely slept. The hotel needs air conditioning. We had the four poster bed, which wasn’t particularly comfortable, the jacuzzi bath was noisy

Very disappointing and underwhelming stay...

Liked: There was a fan in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful if you asked them.
Disliked: The room and bathroom looked as though it had never seen a duster or vacuum cleaner and was generally dirty. For a "deluxe" hotel facilities were very limited and poor e.g. no ventilation in the bathroom, only 1 hand towel and 1 dirty wash cloth between 2 people (asked for an extra on day of arrival and was provided with more bath towels all of which were removed by "cleaning" staff the next morning even though they supposedly have a ecofriendly policy to only replace towels left in the shower - we didn't leave any in the shower but they were all taken anyway), no available sockets for charging devices and stained bedding. Evening meal was over priced and the "buffet" breakfast was very limited and had run out of some items 1 1/2 hours before end of service! Won't be staying again especially at this price on our regular visits to Somerset.

Overall superb 3rd visit 4th...

Liked: Superb location staff behind scenes superb restaurant and chambermaids excellent.Avalon suite excellent.New hot tub ok bit smaller and perhaps less chlorine preferred.
Disliked: NA

Hood breakfast, ok room, disappointed...

Liked: I've stayed here previously & it's quite nice with a fairly good quality breakfast.
Disliked: We were disappointed that the staff member took a credit card & when asked why she said it was to complete the booking.This turned out to be incorrect or incomplete information because we weren't told that they'd take additional cost for our dogs for £25 a night. Which is quite steep, but aside from that she could have informed us there & then but chose not to. This has occured previously with this hotel but I thought it was accidental, it's standard.In future they should take the cost of the pooch at source when booking rather than after the stay.

Disliked: Hotel was shabby and dated. Room was ‘corporate’ and unimaginative.Bathroom was grubby and shower very cramped and awkward to use.
