Needs serious updating and better...

Disliked: I dont know where to start. First, think the Brady Bunch! I think the carpet is the original carpeting from the 70s complete with the smells and dust from the 70s. Both my husband and I are still congested and have swollen throats from sleeping in the room 1 night.I realize a lot of people bring pets nowadays, but I'm allergic to cats and dogs, they have no separate rooms for pet and non pet people. But I have stayed in rooms in the past that allow pets and have never been bothered. I think the old carpeting is just so old it can't be cleaned properly between patrons.The toilet paper holder (from the 70s) just fell off a crumbling wall. The tub had a constant drip. The shower head had no pressure just dribbled out. I didn't bother using it as it was the last leg of our 2 week trip I figured I'd wait to do it when I get home.I think the weirdest part and a bit unsettling is the lack of security. The place is huge, i think it was probably an old Howard Johnson in its past life. The place has lots of entrances and do not lock. You know how you usually have to use a key card after dark to enter a side entrance? Nothing. No locks, no security cameras. Anyone off the street can just walk into the building in the middle of the night and just go room to room. Very unnerving. There are so many entrances unsecured and not monitored. Very strange.I'm going to say I think this company just bought this old building and hopefully they are going to put some money and thought into the renovations. The sign out front is a piece of vinyl covering the old sign, hopefully they seriously invest in improving the place. Everything is just old and musty.I do suggest that they also designate animals and humans rooms. There are a lot of children who have allergies also. We might be miserable not because of animal dander but also because the carpeting is so old it can't be cleaned properly.

It was just okay.

Liked: Location was great for me. Easy to get to and convenient.
Disliked: I had to change rooms 3 times before we f round one that had a deadbolt lock that worked and a TV that had the remote to use.

Disliked: I booked a room with 2queen beds and a pull out. I got 1 queen and a pull out. Don’t understand why I didn’t get what I was told the room was supposed to have.

Liked: Excellent front desk person. Our bedding was wet. Evidently the cleaning crew were in a hurry to get off work. But she replaced bedding making our stay excellent!
Disliked: Other than the above mentioned, everything was great!!!!

Liked: The staff ,front desk and house keeping were great! Super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good.
Disliked: They chair in the room needs updated. The hallways were so hot but im sure it was because of the pool. The stair railing in hall was grimmy feeling. Maybe it was due to humidity.

Liked: Room was comfortable
Disliked: The humidity in the room was high due to being poolside but the air conditioner fixed that well enough.
