Good

Liked: Location: near Queens Park for the festival and near enough eateries
Disliked: Only one towel and very poor quality. I could have asked for another but, in my 70s, the prospect of walking down 3 floors and back up with a towel was too much. No phone connection to reception.

Great location but please invest...

Liked: The woman on reception was incredibly friendly. The room was huge. There was plenty of parking.
Disliked: The doorbell going off at midnight. My room was in a whole other section, and I heard it as clear as if it was in my room. Woke me up every time (the last occasion was midnight, but it had also gone off a few times before that between 10pm- 12am.

Location great but property could...

Liked: Location was the main reason for the booking, it’s walkable to the concert venue. Parking was also good and location was quiet on a residential street. Check in was easy.
Disliked: I didn’t sleep well, you can hear people in the stairwell and I was uncomfortable. The building is old and tired, the windows were like a piece of history not seen windows with them old style closures for a while. They were also full of cobwebs, cleanliness is not up to standard for the price - old stained linen, hairs in the bathroom, old bath mat. It’s obviously in a lucrative location that’s why it sells and with a few new amenities and better cleanliness it would warrant the price point and provide a better experience. However if you don’t necessarily need to as people will book anyway with concerts/football etc I can see why they’ve probs not bothered overtime so it’s like a jaded version of the photos.
