Value for money but images...

Liked: The hotel is good value for money. There is a lovely park closeby and it is in a good location which is handy for the city centre. Although some of the furnishings are a little 'tired', the bathrooms are very clean, beds small but comfortable. There are free toiletries and the rooms are clean.
Disliked: We booked what was supposed to be a 'superior' room which was the most expensive. The images for that room type showed a sitting area in the room. However, the room we were allocated looked nothing like the pictures, there was no sitting area, no ironing facilities, it was supposed to have 'a view' (which turned out to be of the street) and the window was stuck open. When I queried whether we had in fact been given the correct room I was assured we had. To be fair the receptionist did manage to close the window and offered to change the room but having just lugged our bags up two flights of stairs and needing to meet friends shortly after we arrived, we declined. However, having stayed in the hotel before, our previous room (which was a lower 'category') was much better. I think this is a case of 'what you see isn't necessarily what you get'. I would suggest to the hotel they consider changing the images on their website to more realistically reflect more accurately what rooms look like and their facilities. This will also help manage guests expectations.

Liked: Room and bathroom were clean but a bit dated. Great value for money, less than 30 for the night. Great location for my visit to hampden, approx 10minute walk. For the value I will probably stay again if I have to visit hampden or local area again
Disliked: The building seems a little dated, and the main door to guestrooms is a heavy firedoor which seems to be a bit damaged. There didn't appear to be any facilities to order food within the hotel so I ordered from just eat.
