Lovely staff, great location

Liked: The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is incredible.
Disliked: The room was quite hot and the air con unit was quite poor/didn’t make much of a difference to the room temperature

Disliked: upon arrival, we were told our room was under renovation, so we were moved to a hotel down the road that was unclean, smelled mouldy, uncomfortable and the whole ordeal was very disorganised. a message before hand would have been appreciated

Disliked: We were put right in the basement in an unfinished hallway, with construction going on throughout the day and evening which we weren’t informed of during our booking. Our air conditioner leaked and gurgled and it took 3 follow ups for it to be fixed.

Liked: Room was quiet and bed was comfortable
Disliked: Shower was rubbish - couldn't avoid getting completely soaked in cold water - sprayed everywhere. Surfaces in the bathroom were not clean - dust under the washbasin, dirt under toilet rim. I was only there two nights but they decided to unnecessarily change my towels - very un-green. Most hotels don't do that unless you request it. No breakfast offered.

In the end we were...

Liked: Our room was comfortable, clean and a good size for two. Location of the hotel was good - just a 7-minute walk to Gloucester Rd railway station and local supermarket, fast food etc. Also close to Earls Court station. Direct bus line to Harrods - about a 5-minute trip.
Disliked: On arrival late at night, we found that the hotel no longer offers twin beds, which is what we had booked several months prior. However the attendant assured us that if we were prepared to tolerate one night with the king-sized bed that was appointed to us, he would do his best to get us twin beds for the remainder of our 5-night stay. He was true to his word and we were moved to a room with twin beds the next day. We were disappointed that no communication had been attempted to inform us that the hotel had changed its room configuration.
