A lovely stay in a...
Liked: Great facilities (especially pool), great location, grounds and lobby and common areas. Staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming.
Disliked: The a la carte food quality was mixed. I ordered the risotto, which was lacking in flavour and my husband's steak was a bit like something from a cheap diner.Also, drinks price transparency needs to be improved. We ended up paying almost £40 for two double gin and tonics, which is steep even by hotel standards. It turned out that this was because we'd pointed to the Tanqueray gin. However, if we'd known how costly this would be compared to other gins we would have chosen an alternative.

2 star hotel advertised and...
Liked: The gym was good, the pool was enjoyable for kids
Disliked: I paid £450 for two nights in a deluxe, expecting a high standard of service and facilities appropriate to a four-star hotel. Unfortunately, my experience fell well below expectations and was made worse by the behaviour of the duty manager. Key Issues Experienced: Lack of Basic Amenities: The room had no slippers and no air conditioning, which is unacceptable for a deluxe category. On a day when the room temperature exceeded 35°C, I was simply told “that’s what we have” and that “nothing could be done.” Only after a tense discussion was I reluctantly offered a fan. But 2 hours later, we are still waiting for it. Unprofessional and Disrespectful Management: When I requested to meet with the manager. She was rude, dismissive, and utterly disrespectful. When I raised my concerns and asked to escalate matters, she told me directly: “I don’t care.” Such a statement is not only unprofessional but also damaging to your hotel’s reputation. She mentioned that she travels and she stays at Hyatt and they don’t provide slippers. I travel extensively and every Hyatt provides slippers! Regardless, I believe that a more polite and friendly behaviour can we expected Special Occasion Spoiled: This was meant to be a family birthday weekend, and instead of a memorable celebration, we were left feeling disrespected, uncomfortable, and let down. This is not a 4 star hotel and it is irresponsible for booking.com to advertise this as one. The amenities, quality of service and facilities is 2 star or at best 3 star. The breakfast bar is like local chippy and the carpets are degraded. The place is filled with plastic flowers and plants!
