Not bad for COVID era
Liked: The room was very comfortable and the heater worked well without being too loud. I liked the bathroom amenities. And having a view of the river was very nice.
Disliked: Keep in mind that this was during COVID. There was no housekeeping, no breakfast, and no front desk staff. Every other hotel I stayed in during COVID at least had a snack pack for breakfast. It would've been nice to have something. There was also minimal staff and fresh towels were put outsidethe door twice during the week we were there. With that, having a broom in the room would've been nice for sweeping up the crumbs we had spilled.

Liked: We booked because my teenager was having surgery at BCH Waltham and there was a large snowstorm making it impossible to travel to our home. Cathy was so accommodating to meet our unique needs. She contacted us personally to make sure everything was as easy as possible for us. The room was spacious, very clean and my husband loved the historic charm of the hotel. We now have a nice place to stay for early morning follow-up appointments and will highly recommend to family and friends. The location is less than .75 miles to the hospitals too. Bonus, for families from out of town who have appointments. The kitchen is a huge bonus. You won?t be disappointed staying here. Beautiful hotel and more importantly, wonderful ppl.

Liked: Location on Charles River path was wonderful. Loved having a full kitchen.
Disliked: Communication with staff was poor. We understand that, during covid, front desk is staffed infrequently. But that does not excuse phone messages during daytime going unanswered for hours. (We didn't attempt to contact overnight.) The difficulty contacting staff occurred multiple times during the booking/planning process, and again during our stay when we needed some minor items -- an extra blanket, and help with the TV. Some additional improvements will help future guests: More shelving/storage and electical outlets in bathroom. An extra blanket in closet. And better outdoor signage. (It's virtually impossible to see the HOTEL sign; though we've stayed at Crescent Suites before, we repeatedly had trouble finding the hotel, esp at night.)

Cute place that was perfect...
Liked: I loved the room set up and the complimentary cappuccino in the morning
