Disappointing at not being informed...
Liked: Beautiful location Good facilities
Disliked: No door on the toilet. The bedroom and bathroom were one big room. We’ve been together 30 years but there’s certain things I want to do privately! Taking it in turns to vacate the room is a pain! There was a Private event taking place so most of the garden was closed along with one of the restaurants, we wasn’t informed which I think was a poor choice. It would have been a nicer stay to have full access to all the facilities. Shame as it spooked our visit and at that price you want to get the full experience.

Absolutely perfect and stunning gardens
Liked: Our room was very clean the part we stayed at was very private all staff was lovely and the bar staff was sooo nice and friendly, there was a lovely anniversary note in our room which was so thoughtful it was the perfect stay for a mum and dad having a night break. Thai restaurant was gorg we only had starters as we wanted to enjoy our drinks lol but everyone in there complemented there mains, duck spring rolls and satay skewers for the win every time
Disliked: Nothing not to like

I expected more
Liked: The hotel has reasonable facilities and the Thai meal was good. The bed is comfortable.
Disliked: It is significantly overpriced for what it is. The whole hotel is tired and needs a refresh. The 'Decadent' room was a bit disappointing and open showers that spray water all over the bathroom and toilet are just annoying. The room was too dark to see properly in mirrors. Everything was an extra, including corkage on your own drinks - this is so outdated.Drink costs were far too pricey, £15 for an Aperol Spritz and min £40 for basic red wine. No breakfast is included either. It is all too expensive for what it is.
