Liked: in the right location
Disliked: rooms far too dark without the option of good light for make-up. At the price charged breakfast should be included. Originally told pool not in use for maintenance but not offered a discount but then heard pool was operational so no time to take bathing gear. Decor really dated for these days

Nice enough, a bit too...

Liked: Rooms where nice, decor was great, pool area looked lovely
Disliked: the place was a bit dated, for the price paying i expected more. it just needs a revamp, one area was closed and we wasnt told beforehand so for the price your paying id like to of been given the option to cancel or rearrange if you cant use all the facilities

Ideal for a couples night...

Liked: Its unlike anywhere I have stayed before, decor wise which was quite refreshing. I enjoyed the novelty of the bath in the room. Beaconsfield is a lovely location too. Didnt use the bar, restaurant or pool so cannot comment on that
Disliked: Check in was very unorganised, arrived at 3pm and was almost 3.30pm by the time we were shown to the room. Similarly check out didn’t go smoothly as a drink had been charged to me that I hadn’t ordered. Hand soap and shampoo in the bathroom had run out. The bath, although a great feature, did seem very worn and scratched. Furthermore the room felt dusty likely due to all the soft furnishings i.e. cushions and heavy velvet curtains and velvet walls.

Wouldn’t recommend

Liked: The bed was comfortable! The staff were fantastic!
Disliked: - The bedroom was extremely costraphobic! - you can hear everything, we heard music word for word, we heard other people’s convos word for word. Called the phone to have a cat with reception however no answer. - cocktails £18 each over charged! 70% of the drink was ice. - the bathroom toilet seat was dirty- bathroom curtain had white crusty stains on!!!

Overpriced

Liked: The staff were friendly , room was nice.
Disliked: The heated pool wasn’t working so it was too cold to use and we was not make aware of this when booking.Lots of the curtains around the pool and the main entrance to the English restaurant had rips on them.

Superb

Liked: The English restaurant was great, and the receptionist staff was great, and the service was outstanding
Disliked: The wooden blinds could’ve been dusted a bit more
